Lead Partner Manager – MLOps (m/f/d)

Our client is an established product company in the area of fraud prevention and risk analytics. The place of employment is Kaiserslautern; The collaboration is organized as a hybrid model with a strong home office component and is designed as a permanent, full-time permanent position.

In terms of content, you will work on topics related to MLOps: API-first architecture, event-driven patterns and clean domain cuts. The team values ​​cross-functional teams, clean interfaces and a culture of continuous learning, as well as security by design and data protection compliance.

Your tasks

  • You take responsibility in the MLOps environment and deliver measurable results - from planning to stable operation.
  • You drive refactoring and technical modernization, reduce technical debt and improve the developer experience through pragmatic standards and tooling.
  • You optimize performance, costs and scaling, evaluate technical options and document architectural decisions in an understandable and auditable manner.
  • You take end-to-end ownership of features or services – from requirements recording through design/implementation to stable handover into productive operation.
  • You automate build, test and deployment (CI/CD) processes and continuously improve the team's deliverability, release stability and time to market.
  • You will work closely with Product, Security, Data and Operations and ensure that data protection, compliance and security requirements are taken into account at an early stage.
  • You will participate in architectural and technology decisions and introduce best practices to increase stability, security and scalability in the long term.
  • You analyze business and technical requirements, translate them into implementable user stories/epics and coordinate dependencies transparently with all stakeholders.
  • You establish and live quality standards (code reviews, automated tests, definition of done) and ensure comprehensible, maintainable and expandable solutions.

Your profile

  • You have relevant experience for MLOps and can lead complex projects into implementation in a structured manner.
  • Strong communication and moderation skills in order to clarify requirements, involve stakeholders and convey technical topics in an understandable manner.
  • Very good understanding of software architecture, interfaces (API design) and data models as well as the ability to justify technical decisions in a comprehensible manner.
  • Experience in cloud/container environments and a solid understanding of operations, monitoring and security fundamentals in distributed systems.
  • Several years of experience in a comparable role with proven success in implementing complex projects in production-critical environments.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills – you can systematically identify causes and derive sustainable improvements (RCA).
  • Bonus: Knowledge of security/compliance (e.g. GDPR, ISO 27001, PCI DSS) and experience with auditable documentation.
  • Team-oriented work in cross-functional setups; You give constructive feedback, share knowledge and actively contribute to the further development of the team.
  • Very good written and spoken German or English skills as well as the ability to work effectively in distributed teams.
  • Structured, independent way of working with an ownership mentality - you prioritize sensibly, communicate risks early and deliver reliably.
